Biography: Steve
Edwards has over 20 years in Upstream Oil & Gas. He started in an
operational role with Schlumberger before joining Shell as an explorer
working in a variety of international basins and jurisdictions including
Australia and Africa. Steve moved progressively through a number of
commercial roles including M&A. Joining Nexen in 2006, Steve became
Business Development Manager for Europe expanding Nexen's footprint into
Norway and Poland and helping the company become the UK's largest oil
producer. After the CNOOC take over of Nexen, Steve became VP for BD,
Commercial and Technical for Europe & Africa. Steve left to form
Tailwind in 2016.
Education: Steve
holds a BSc (Hons) in Geology from St.Andrews University, a PhD in
Petroleum Geology from Durham University and a MBA from Cambridge
University. Steve also sits on the Advisory Committee for ESCP and is a
member of the Association of International Petroleum Negotiators (AIPN).
Biography: Jacques has 13 years experience with
international energy investing and financing on behalf of several
merchant banks and private funds based in New York. He has raised over
$600mm in financing for various oil and gas ventures in continental
Europe, as well as supporting the privatisation and IPO of NOCs in
Central Europe. Previously, Jacques's financing experience included the
US Gulf of Mexico and Romanian Black Sea.
Education: Jacques graduated from Columbia University in Finance and Economics.
Biography: Tom brings 20 years of transaction
experience, including leading NSV's investment in and subsequent sale of
E&P licences in the UK. He is a former Senior Partner, M&A and
Capital Markets, at Baker & McKenzie. He has been involved in the
energy sector for 15 years, initially in the renewable energy sector as
co-owner of a renewable energy company in Central Europe, and as
co-owner of NSV since 2011. Tom has also served as a non-executive
director of international subsidiaries of FTSE 100 and Fortune 100
companies including Pilkington plc and International paper.
Education: Tom is a qualified lawyer in England and Wales, as well as Canada; he holds LLM and MBA degrees from Cambridge University
