Chris Phillips is a former Metropolitan Police detective specialising in organised crime who founded Carnoustie Consultants Limited in 2000 before co-heading Grant Thornton's corporate intelligence team following its acquisition in 2019. Now serving as an advisor to Crystal Vantage, Chris brings decades of expertise in corporate recovery, insolvency, and asset tracing, having led teams that identified millions of pounds worth of assets globally across complex matters including carousel tax frauds, cryptocurrency fraud, and intellectual property disputes. He advises Crystal Vantage's clients—including accountancy and legal firms, high net worth individuals, and foreign states—on strategic intelligence solutions, applying his proven approach of combining data analytics with forensic investigation to enhance the firm's global investigations and asset recovery practice.
